The Stoat - What Christians must not learn from this small mammal

About a Stoat
A stoat is a small mammal that is often found in open habitats like heathlands, grasslands and sand dunes. It is a small predator and it feeds on rabbits, eggs and small rodents. It is a hunter that is active day and night. It's back is chestnut brown while its throat and belly is colored white with a black tipped tail. During winter its entire fur changes to  white completely, and its fur becomes more thicker and dense. The only part of it that doesn't change is the black tipped tail.
What Christians should and shouldn't learn from this animal

What Christians should learn
Like I said earlier, during winter, the Stoat changes from a chestnut brown fur animal to a complete white thick fur animal. And when this process is completed, the stoat is then called the white Ermine. Now during this period, the stoat cherishes its white coat more than its life. It can go to the length of giving up its life than to see its white coat get stained. Anything that would bring  dirt to its white coat, it completely avoids. Hunters benefit from this unusual trait of an Ermine. Hunters hunt the white Ermine to get its precious white fur, and in order to catch an Ermine, they fill the entrance to its hole with mud and all sort of dirt to keep it from entering the whole. The Ermine, strongly repulsed by the mud and dirt and the danger they pose to its white coat, voluntarily hands over itself to the hunters. Because to the Ermine, it is better to die than to see a stain on its white coat. In other words, purity is life to the Ermine.
Many Christian leaders had enjoined Christians to preserve their holiness and purity just the way an Ermine does. We should cherish our salvation and Holiness immensely, and even if our lives pose a threat to our holiness, we should be ready to give up our lives. This part is very important to Christians because without holiness it is impossible to see the lord. Many Christians today know of Ermines and their peculiar attributes, and some are applying this method while some aren't. If an animal God gave us charge over could do this, why can't we humans take our holiness seriously? The only way to serve God truthfully and to reciprocate his love, is to live a holy and righteous life before God and man. This is what to learn from the Ermine, now lets proceed to what not to learn from an Ermine.

What not to learn from an Ermine or Stoat
Christians should not learn from the hypocrisy of an Ermine or a stoat. The fact that an animal answers the name a stoat during summer and answers an Ermine during winter depicts hypocrisy. The fact that an animal is colored chestnut brown in summer and in winter is colored pure white depicts also hypocrisy. During summer, the stoat is colored chestnut brown, and this implies sin. In summer, the stoat is a sinner. During summer everything seems to be fine with the life and daily activities of the stoat, and the stoat seems not to need God. And because of the fact that the stoat doesn't need God during summer, it clads itself with a disheveled garment before the lord.
But the summer won't last forever. The days of plenty and success won't last, because days of sorrow will come. When summer ends or when the days of success and harvest end, then winter or the days of sorrow and tears will come, and the stoat will remember that there is a God that exists up there. The stoat will repent of its sin by discarding its chestnut brown colour and it will embrace righteousness and salvation by putting on a white coat. God will accept the repentance of the stoat and he will forgive its sins. He will call its name ' Ermine' because it has become a friend of God. Now it is a friend of God, the lord will protect him from the winter by making his coat thicker and dense. Predators and hunters will become its trial and temptations. And it will not yield to their traps, because if it should, who then should protect it from the terrible winter or the period of difficulty. Because for the ermine to continue to enjoy the protection of God, its coat must be spotless. The ermine will endure till the end of the winter or could even lose its life in the process, because he knew that it is better to die than to be without God during the winter.
But the time will come when winter will come to an end, and summer will take its place. Now the days of tears are over, the Ermine will adapt to the summer. But now things are fine in summer, the ermine will forget God and he will go back to his evil ways. He will remove the white coat of Holiness and put on the disheveled coat of sin. This is Hypocrisy!
Where are those Christians that rise and fall always? Where are those that can not let go of that sin? Where are those that are not sincere before the lord? Knowest ye not that the day you decide to sin for a while could be when the son of God might decide to knock? Know ye not that there is no place for hypocrites in heaven? Christians should watch and pray always. Christians should desist from hypocrisy like the stoat. Hypocrisy must be avoided. Because great will be the torment in hell for those that knew the truth and doeth it not. This is the part of a stoat that christians should not emulate.
If anyone swims in the ocean of hypocrisy, let him ask for forgiveness from the lord and let him seek earnestly for the sanctification of the heart.

The covenant we ought to make (meat for the soul)

What is covenant? Covenant is an agreement, either between people, or between God and a person or a group of people. When we deliberate deeply on our lives, we realize that most of our relationships with people involves a covenant, and we may be conscious or unconscious about it. In fact, the life we are living in our societies today is a covenant. People are getting along today because everyone is keeping his or her own part of the covenant. For instance, as a normal citizen of a state, you adhere to the laws and customs of the state, and the state in turn protects your rights as a citizen and provide social amenities for you. This is an example of a covenant. You are keeping your own part of the covenant by abiding to the laws of the state, and the state will keep its own part by protecting your rights as an abiding citizen whenever it is infringed on. You can see that there is an agreement. What is the purpose of this agreement between the state and the citizen? The purpose of th...

Let's reciprocate his love

This new year, we should avoid requesting for love and blessings without any plans on how to reciprocate such love. As we have crossed over into the new year, we look onto God and pray for healing, prosperity, progress, success, provision, happiness, wealth, and lots more. All these things we demand are what will make us happy, but we don't care about how to make the one that gives us all these things happy. Many don't care about the happiness of God; they do the will of men and not the will of God. This year, as we demand blessings from God, let us endeavor to make him happy also. The peculiar thing about the love of God is that he loves every one even those that are living in sin, he still loves them. But his pain is that sinners won't be able to make Heaven, because Heaven can never accommodate unrighteous people. You know how it feels when a man loves his wife dearly, and his wife fails to give him attention. It makes the husband unhappy, but he continues to endure and...

Our new garment in 2019

Happy new year everyone! I congratulate everyone that crossed over to this new year, and I pray that the grace of the Almighty God will continue to direct your paths this year. I could remember that young boy with a bright future. He was very intelligent, his academic scores were excellent, his was full of life, everything about him was just going fine and he was happy. It was unbelievable and a rude shock to me when the news of his demise got to me on easter Sunday 2018. I was unstable and I asked, " what happened to that handsome and happy boy? A boy full of life, no one saw his death coming, no one expected it, but the fact is that he is gone. Now we have crossed over to the new year, and we pray and ask for prosperity and developments in every aspect of our life, and we ignore the most important aspect of our lives. We see it as old fashioned or that we are still young for that, or that we know that it is important but we keep it aside till we achieve our ambitions.  That i...
